PROFILE
DOA is a Bristol based architecture studio focused on the design and delivery of projects that enrich the environments in which we live and work. Working at a range of scales and engaging in all RIBA project stages, the studio offers services from conceptual design and planning application submission through to technical design development, on-site construction supervision and contract administration.
The studio maintains a commitment to producing a considered response to each brief, that meets the specific needs of the client whilst creating characterful additions to the spaces occupied. An interest in finding novel ways to use common building materials coupled with a meticulous attention to detail underpins the studio’s approach, working to create unique yet affordable proposals.

ABOUT
The studio was founded by Max Ochel in 2022 after having worked with various highly regarded, award winning architectural practices across the UK and Germany, including Emmett Russell Architects, Buckley Gray Yeoman and Bruzkus Batek Architekten Partnerschaft.
Max studied architecture at the University of the West of England and the University of Edinburgh, completing his BA(Hons) and M.Arch before returning to Bristol to complete his Part III Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Practice and Management in Architecture at the University of the West of England.
Max is a registered member of the Architects Registration Board (ARB).
